Thomas Maruschak

SENIOR DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION SERVICES & SECURITY

Thomas Maruschak is an experienced IT professional at SOMOS Community Care. Thomas has nearly 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with the ability to independently manage multiple opportunities. His management style is characterized by empowering his staff in every process as they strive to enhance customer service, communication and quality.

Thomas has led numerous IT initiatives within SOMOS since joining in December 2016. He has recently led the team to complete the NY State criteria concerning IT Systems policies and controls governing the use as set forth with the NIST SP 800-53 Revision 4 documentation. Thomas and his team have implemented many IT network projects and deployed mobile devices to SOMOS staff.

Thomas negotiates with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to procure specific products and services to provide value to SOMOS. His team works with all SOMOS departments to deliver solutions that enable staff to be more productive and service our network providers.

Prior to joining SOMOS Community Care, Thomas was as an Infrastructure Service Delivery Manager at New York City Health + Hospital (NYC H+H). At NYC H+H, Thomas led the desktop support team for South Manhattan and facilitated the deployment and support of all telecom endeavors through NYC H+H.

Before NYC Health + Hospitals, Thomas worked at Continuum Health Partners (now Mount Sinai) as the Senior Manager of Network Operations. He spearheaded the telecom and networking groups’ operational and strategic planning including fostering innovation, planning projects, organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources.
