Martine J. Baron, LCSW-R

Director of Care Management

Martine Baron is the Director of the Care Management at SOMOS Community Care. Martine has more than 20 years of experience in utilization case management, healthcare administration, managed long-term care, and behavioral health. She oversees all care management projects including several innovative care management infrastructure improvement projects.

Martine’s expertise also includes program design & managed care, provider community outreach & engagement, social work principals in macro settings and change management. She is dedicated to transforming health care delivery and improving the health of underserved populations

Martine has a long-standing passion for large-scale health care transformation and health outcomes particularly in underserved minority areas. She brings a diverse array of experience, including front-line clinical experience, working with low-income Medicaid recipients, program design and management. She is a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work with a focus on advance generalist practice. She has worked on numerous community health initiatives including faith-based social work services for victims of domestic violence.

Prior to joining SOMOS Community Care, Martine served as a Manager of Behavioral Health at a large MLTC. She provided leadership and direction for the behavioral health staff in order to maximize the quality of member care and effectively manage available behavioral health resources. This included providing direct service delivery as well as designing, implementing and managing behavioral health clinical operations and care management.
