John Dionisio Chief Information Officer
John Dionisio has over 15 years of experience in healthcare technology, managed care, value-based strategy, and business development. He is one of the founding members of SOMOS Community Care and has closely worked with physicians regarding practice transformation and value-based initiatives.
John has extensive healthcare experience and leadership roles in various capacities, including medical economics, analytics, strategic development, finance, budget, informatics, and data management.
As Chief Information Officer, he drives mission-critical IT, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity solutions, including application software and program development, to help meet the needs of SOMOS and its physician network. John has proven his ability to design, plan and implement technology-based strategies with notable contributions, including developing a vaccination EHR-lite platform during the pandemic in rapid time. John is also skilled in problem-solving, crisis management, and team development which fosters collaborative work environments.
Before joining SOMOS Community Care, he consulted with Corinthian and Balance Medical IPAs, focusing on value-based contract management and initiative development that would improve contract performance. Mr. Dionisio also worked at WellCare Health Plans as manager of reporting and analytics, informatics, and IPA and provider relations. John was, until recently, the Chief Information Officer at a healthcare tech start-up in Austin, Texas.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from the University of South Florida and a Master of Public Health from Columbia University.
